Can you really earn more while working less

You’ve heard it all before; “work less, earn more.” In a society where, hard work is honorable, and productivity is the currency of earning your keeps, the concept of trading time for money is admirable. It is profitable. It is the right thing to do. Yet, more workers are sounding the alarm when it comes to trading time for money. Companies are conducting studies to show how giving employees more time away from work increases productivity and the overall bottom-line. Entrepreneurs are waving the banner flag of “working smarter; not harder.” Workers are moving away from “retire in 30 years” idea their parents chanted. People are looking for a way to “do it” bigger, better, faster. How likely is it that people can truly work less and yet earn more?
For those who want to buy back their time freedom, it’s as simple as changing their beliefs around money. You must believe that making money is not difficult. Working harder does not increase the amount of money you make. Moreover, the opposite might be true. The harder you work, the less money you make, the less time freedom you have, the less energy you have. If you believe making money is difficult, it will be as difficult as you believe. There is one argument though, because I am not fully convinced that simply working less will increase your chances of success either. In fact, I think it takes work; smart work, to be successful.
What do I mean by working smarter? Working smarter means working more on yourself than anything else. Changing your limiting beliefs, for example, takes work; lots of work. However, this kind of work is smart work because once you change your self-limiting beliefs, you can achieve what ever you desire; including making lots of money while doing less (manual labor). You may be in a profession that is hard work, such as being a doctor, but you may not be working hard if you are doing what comes naturally for you. There’s no amount of money that can be traded for doing what you are truly passionate about. It may seem as though you’re not working hard at all. The key here is making the mental shift that working harder does not equal earning more money.
Think about what you would consider to be the hardest job out there; yet, someone is earning more money for doing something less difficult. While I don’t completely agree with the statement work less and earn more, there is an underlying truth; working smarter does have its benefits. I believe that one of the hardest things you’ll ever have to do is work on your limiting beliefs about yourself. I also believe working smarter will increase your bottom dollar. If you can relate to what I’ve stated, and you’d like to explore this topic further, connect with me and we can discuss ways to set new beliefs to increase productivity and earnings by working smarter.
